Which would you want to see in person?

Little free libraries are just such a joy to see. Even better when you stumble across them. The one in the red phonebox was particularly cute.

Although I didn’t take home any books, I did very much enjoy visiting all of these.

Which covers do you prefer?

We visited Germany recently, and I knew one of the things I wanted to do was see if their book covers were any different from the ones in the UK.

A whole bunch of them are, and these are just the ones I recognised off the bat. Pretty cool!

I have to say, for the most part, I prefer UK covers, but that Percy Jackson one is fantastic! Ours just looks like it’s targeted at a completely different demographic - which may actually be true.

The Threads of Power one is also interesting. I’m not keen on the UK one, but I don’t know if I really like the German one either.

Do you read more or less when you travel?

One of my favourite places to read is on the train. There’s absolutely nothing like reading and watching the world go by.

You have nothing else to do, no distractions, and no responsibilities, just sit and read - it’s the best.

I’d say you can’t beat reading on the plane too, but I have travel anxiety, so it’s not quite as good.

Once I’m at my destination, though, reading takes a backseat. I’m there to experience and soak it all in, with maybe a little wind-down reading in the evening.

This footage was my trip to Germany. We took a few trains to get to the airport the night before and then caught our flight very early in the morning.
