My husband bullied me into doing a post about this My husband bullied me into doing a post about this (with love, of course).

I recently reached 10,000 subscribers on YouTube!

I’m going to be honest with you guys. I wanted to celebrate this milestone, I bought myself a cake (because I think we should celebrate things we achieve). But I wasn’t going to post about it at all. I was going to eat it and share the celebration privately with my husband.

Not because I don’t want to thank anyone or share, but because I didn’t want to feel like I was bragging.

But here I am, posing with my cake because my husband said I really should share this celebration with you. If I could share an actual slice of cake, I would.

This post is just a few photos, but the real thing I want to share with you is a post I put together on Substack. It contains 10 lessons I’ve learned on the road to 10k subscribers on YouTube. It’s rough, raw, and a little vulnerable.

If you want to read it, the link is in my bio. I’d love to know what you think.

Also, don’t you think the cake looks like it says subscribery?!
Is that too much to ask? I have a full-time job Is that too much to ask?

I have a full-time job (well, I run my own business), I also have a tendency to doom scroll with the best of us (working on it!), so when it comes to finding the time to read, it’s not always easy.

If I do find the time to read, and don’t get distracted by social media, that’s a big win!

Even when I have free evenings booked out to read and only read, I struggle to open a book and just read. Is this you too?

Once I get into reading, there’s no stopping me. But I’m finding it harder and harder to make that first step.

I did a whole video about this on my YouTube channel called Social media is killing your ability to read if you’re interested.

But for now, I’d love to know if you struggle with this and if you have any tips for getting through it.
